Late payment charge
What a late tax payment costs
A monthly late payment charge applies to public receivables not paid on time. Part months use a daily rate.The monthly rate is 3.7% (from 13/11/2025). This is indicative; the collection office's own calculation governs. For part months the daily rate is one thirtieth of the monthly rate.

Net profit after commission, shipping, advertising, VAT and the 1% marketplace withholding.Withholding is 1% of the VAT-exclusive sale amount and is offset on the annual return, so it is a cash outflow rather than a final cost. VAT payable is the difference between output and input VAT and is not part of profit.
